The Docks Expo Rocks the Music City Center in Nashville
T
he Docks Expo, hosted by Marina Dock Age magazine, was held at the Music City Center in Nashville, Tennessee, from December 5 to 7. The event welcomed 100 exhibitors to the new venue, and this year's event was held in conjunction with the University of Wisconsin-Madison Docks and Marinas course. Attendance at the 2017 show grew 41 percent over attendance in 2016. Forty-four states were represented at the conference. Attendees could learn from 21 different education sessions, including case studies, panel discussions and new this year roundtable discussions, which brought attendees and speakers together in a more informal environment for smaller one-on- one conversations and Q&A. It was a well- attended event with insightful discussion. New this year also was the Clean Marina workshop. State Clean Marina coordinators from seven states gathered to share their expertise and advice and learn from attendees on how to improve state programs across the country. The event wrapped with a closing party at the Wild Horse Saloon for food, music and dancing. Thank you all the exhibitors, attendees and speakers that helped make this a fantastic event. The Docks Expo will return to the Music City Center in Nashville again this year from December 4 to 6.
